October 15th

Today, October 15th is the National Day of Remembrance for pregnancy and infant loss. I found this out from Angie at Bring the Rain. Angie and Todd lost their infant daughter, Audrey Caroline, earlier this year. Angie posted that she would like the chance to pray for any and all who have lost a baby during pregnancy or infancy. Please visit her blog and leave a comment.

If you have not lost a baby please go and pray for those that have. Also, please take a moment to pray for those in your life who have experienced pregnancy and infancy loss.

Today I am remembering all the babies at work that have died. (I'm a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit.) I am remembering the babies of some of some of my friends. Also, I am remembering babies that I have only seen pictures of on a blog but whose story has captured my heart. And finally I am remembering my unnamed siblings and big brother Jesse in heaven. My parents had a few (?) early miscarriages and Jesse born still at six months in 1979.

May God's presence wash over all who are remembering today.
