I went to the zoo with some friends of mine yesterday to see the stingrays. We had a lot of fun. It was great weather, quite windy but that helped in keeping cool. I wanted to see the stingrays last summer but never made it. I'm so glad I was able to go and actually had the guts to touch one. They are quite slippery and slimy. Not something that I need to touch again. But it was fun once.

Funny story about Sting Rays. I grew up on the beach in So California. My brother was a beach lifeguard from the time he was 15 till he was 24. Just recently he got stung by a sting ray while surfing and said it was the worst pain he had ever experienced. He wished he had had more compassion on the people he had treated during those years as he would tell them to stop whining and suck it up... Live and learn.
On our honeymoon we saw some of the biggest Manta Rays ever. They were big black masses under us as we swam/snorkled in the water. It was creepy!
